Terms and Conditions

By accepting the terms of use for the Wi-Fi network, users acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to this access policy.

Objective:
The purpose of this policy is to define the rules and guidelines for accessing and using the Wi-Fi network provided by Wifiplex in your building, in order to ensure security, confidentiality, and an optimal user experience for all users.

Wifiplex Technical Support:
It is mandatory to subscribe to our Wifiplex technical support service for the total number of units in the building, to ensure the integrity of the network during the duration of the internet contract between the parties. If the client has their own internet service, the agreement will last for 5 years.

If the client wishes to terminate the technical service, an invoice for the remaining balance of the unused period will be issued.

Availability:
The public Wi-Fi network is available to all tenants of the building. However, access may be restricted in cases of congestion, maintenance, or for security reasons.

Acceptable Use:
Users must comply with CRTC laws and regulations, as well as the building’s policies regarding proper use of the Wi-Fi network. Any illegal, abusive, fraudulent, or harmful activities are strictly prohibited.

Authentication:
Users must authenticate themselves using a Wi-Fi network name and password provided by the building owner to access the building’s Wi-Fi network. Login credentials must not be shared with third parties and must be kept confidential.

User Responsibility:
Users are responsible for all activities carried out under their user account. They must take appropriate measures to secure their devices and protect their personal information when using the building’s Wi-Fi network.

Security:
Wifiplex implements security measures to protect the Wi-Fi network from intrusions, viruses, and other threats. However, users are advised to keep their devices updated with the latest security patches and to use antivirus software to ensure additional protection.

While security measures are in place, Wifiplex cannot guarantee the absolute security of data transmitted over the public Wi-Fi network. Users are therefore encouraged to avoid transmitting sensitive or confidential information while using the network.

Policy Changes:
Wifiplex reserves the right to modify this Wi-Fi access policy at any time. Users will be required to accept the updated policy before continuing to use the network.

Transfer of Responsibility:

In the event of a sale of your building, you are responsible for providing us with the new owner’s contact information and informing them of the existing agreement with Wifiplex regarding the technology in the building, as well as the amounts of the monthly and/or annual invoices related to our services.

Client’s Responsability :
The preparatory work and building compliance work required by the ISP—including, but not limited to, the routing and passage of fiber optic cable within the building, when required—are the responsibility of the Client.

Termination Clause – Dedicated Internet Link :
In the event that this contract is terminated, canceled, or not honored by the Client after the start of construction work related to the dedicated internet link, the Client agrees to immediately and fully pay all construction costs related to the service setup, which were initially intended to be amortized through the monthly payments agreed in the contract.

Internet Link Delivery Time :
The delivery time for the internet link provided by Wifiplex is only an estimate and is for reference purposes only. Wifiplex cannot, under any circumstances, be held responsible for exceeding the projected timeline, and no compensation of any kind will be granted to the Client in this regard.
